Edinburgh plaque reveal thanks to incredible support from the Veterans' Foundation

Join us this week across our social media platofrms to celebrate nine years of Fisher House! This incredible house offers a home away from home for injured military personnel, many of whom served in Iraq and Afghanistan and continue to return to the hospital for more surgery, and personnel who are receiving treatment for illness – from cancer care to transplants. The House wouldn't exist without our amazing supporters.

One of our incredible supporters is the Veterans' Foundation https://www.veteransfoundation.org.uk/ In recognition of their support a plaque has been placed on one of the rooms at Fisher House called the 'Edinburgh' room as the foundation is based in Edinburgh.

Major General, David Shaw, said, “The Veterans’ Foundation has been set up to help fund charities and other charitable organisations that are helping serving and former members of the Armed Forces, and their dependents who are in need.”

The charities and other organisations we have helped include those tackling the challenges of mental and physical injuries, homelessness, unemployment, children’s loss of parents while serving and remembrance. We encourage you to spread the word.”

A huge thank you to the Veteran's Foundation for their continued support.

It costs the charity £25 a night to host a military family in their time of need.  A small amount that can make a huge difference. To find out how you can support Fisher House head to https://www.hospitalcharity.org/supportfisherhouse
