Cool donation for the gym at Solihull Hospital

Patients using the gym at Solihull Hospital will now benefit from new fans to keep them cool thanks to a donation from the Solihull Cardiac Gym Club.

The Club donated an incredible £3,060 to Solihull Hospital Charity to support the purchase of new Dyson fans for the gym at Solihull Hospital.

Mick, Chairman of the Solihull Cardiac Gym Club, has been attending the club for over 23 years following two heart attacks. The Club has over 60 members, who meet twice a week for rehabilitation and exercise at the hospital, and they raise funds to support the unit with a whole host of items that are ‘over and above’ that which the NHS can provide.

Mick said: “We have all received fabulous treatment and we are so lucky to have the hospital, the staff in the department are all very patient and caring and we are proud to be able to support them with these fans.”

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising at Solihull Hospital Charity, said: “Huge thanks go to Mick and all of the members of the Solihull Cardiac Gym Club for their generous donation which has funded all of the new fans.

“The team have raised a fantastic amount of money, and the fans will make a difference to our patients, helping to keep them cool whilst they exercise in the gym.”
