Domino’s Pizza raises £20,000 for the hospital charity!

Domino’s Pizza branches in Birmingham and Solihull have been fundraising for the hospital charity for almost two years, and in 2019 have raised an incredible amount of money for QEHB, Heartlands and Solihull hospitals.

The branches of Domino’s have been raising money through Charity offers including donating £1 from every pizza sold with promotional deals, taking part in our fundraising events, creating their own activities and challenges and so much more!

Arshad Yasin, Franchisee for the Domino’s Birmingham stores, said: “We are so pleased to be able to help out local hospitals and raise much-needed funds for the community. We would like to thank our customers who have helped us to raise these funds whilst enjoying delicious, piping hot pizzas.”

As part of their goal to raise £100,000 to support local hospital in Birmingham, the team have just donated an incredible £20,000 which will be split between the three hospital charities and spent on added extras that go ‘over and above’ what the NHS can fund.

Sophie Carroll, Senior Fundraiser at QEHB Charity, said: “Domino’s have raised an incredible amount of money and we are so grateful that they have been fundraising for us and are continuing to do so in the future!

“The £20,000 they have raised will be an incredible help to the Charity and will allow us to provide even more added extras for our patients, their families and the staff who work at the hospitals. Thank you to everyone at Domino’s!”

The team presented the huge cheque to some of the staff at QEHB's Accident and Emergency Department, where some of the money will go on to benefit - and also brought them pizzas to thank them for their hard work!

The Domino's isn’t stopping there and they are continuing to fundraise for the hospital charity through various activities and challenges. From every order made with their Charity deal, £1 will come to the hospital charity! The deal is valid at 11 participating stores including: Birmingham Central, Edgbaston, Selly Oak, Kings Norton, Rubery, Yardley, Northfield, Yardley, Hall Green, Smethwick, Maypole, Shirley, Sheldon, Solihull Central and Star City.
