Staff at Adults & Communities Access Point have raised £815.00 for QEHB Charity.

The money was raised through an event that has been held annually by staff member Paramjit Kalsi for ten years. The event is a huge samosa, cookies and book sale, raising hundreds of pounds each year for a variety of charities.

For this year’s event, Paramjit and her colleagues decided to raise money for QEHB Charity’s Liver Foundation, due to Paramjit having a liver transplant at the QE in 2006.

The event was hugely successful, and raised an amazing £815.00 for QEHB Charity’s Liver Foundation.

Michael Tivey, Fundraising Officer at QEHB Charity, said: “Annual events grow in popularity year upon year, and the brilliant amount raised by Paramjit and her colleagues this year reflects the amount of effort that has been put into making this event a success over the past decade. On behalf of QEHB Charity, I want to thank Paramjit and her colleagues for their hard work and dedication toward this fantastic fundraising event.”

Paramjit has set a target of £1,000 for next year’s event.
