Lechmere Volunteer Lodge No. 1874 raises hundreds for QEHB Charity

Local Masonic Lodge Lechmere Volunteer Lodge No.1874 held Ladies Evening Festival and £850.00 was donated to QEHB Charity’s Congenital Heart Disease Fund after choosing to support the charity at the Festival.

Martin Clarke, Worshipful Master of the Lodge, together with his wife, Carol, decided to support the Congenital Heart Disease Fund following the treatment that their daughter has been receiving from Dr Sarah Thorne over the past few years.

The couple presented a cheque for £850 at the hospital on Tuesday 3 May to Doctor Sarah Thorne.

Sian Averill, Fundraising Officer at QEHB Charity, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the members of the Lechmere Volunteer Lodge No.1874 for their generous donation. It is testament to their hard work in regard to supporting the charity over the past year, and will make a huge difference to patients and staff at the QE.”
