Lions Festive Walk Off the Christmas Pudding

This year Lions Festive Walk is taking place on Friday 27 December and will be raising funds for Solihull Hospital Charity!

This year’s walk is the 27th consecutive Lions Walk taking place at Baddesley Clinton house that will be supporting the hospital charity, CLIC Sargent Young Lives vs Cancer, and many other local causes.

James Dawes, Knowle and Dorridge Lions organiser, said: “Over the last 26 years our walks have raised an incredible £200,000 for charities with anything up to 2,000 walkers (and dogs) making donations or getting their efforts sponsored each year. There will be four different routes to follow all between one and ten mile walks along footpaths, towpaths and lanes.

“The Lions Festive Walks have become a key part of many Solihull families Christmas plans whatever the weather for the day after Boxing Day, many families welcome the chance to pull on their willies and get some exercise. After the walks we invite everyone to join us for a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie with the Lions at Baddesley Clinton House!”

Entry is free, all you need to do is gather your team together, choose your walk and look forward to the Festive Walk around Baddesley Clinton House in Solihull! The walks to choose from are:

- Mini route – one mile starting in front of Baddesley Clinton House

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising at Solihull Hospital Charity, said: “Thank you so much to the Knowle and Dorridge Lions for thinking of the hospital charity when choosing the charities you want to support. We are extremely grateful to have been chosen and we look forward to seeing all of the amazing walkers on the day!

“All of the money raised for Solihull Hospital Charity will be spent on added extras that go ‘over and above’ what the NHS can fund.”
