Local pub raises money to support children at Good Hope

The Boot Inn, Sutton Coldfield, has been raising money to support young patients at Good Hope Hospital by holding collections and raffles at the popular pub and have raised £400. Chris, landlord at The Boot Inn presented the cheque to Laura Power, Fundraising Manager at Good Hope Hospital Charity.

The money raised by The Boot Inn will go towards Good Hope Hospital Charity's Children's Appeal, which is raising funds to renovate the Children's Outpatient Department at the hospital, making it a more child-friendly and calm environment.

Landlord Chris said: "It was a pleasure to raise money for such an important, local cause. Lots of our patrons have strong connections to Good Hope Hospital and were only too happy to support the Charity's plans to renovate the children's areas at the hospital."

Laura Power, Fundraising Manager for the hospital charity said: "Thank you to Chris and all of the team and patrons from The Boot Inn. The money that they have raised will help Good Hope Hospital Charity to make the hospital an inviting place for young patients who are being treated there. For many children, a trip to the outpatients department will be their first experience of a hospital and we want to ensure that they come to a welcoming department full of colour and fun."
