Oakley House complete 5k for Fisher House!

To mark the end of the autumn term this year, pupils in Oakley House, Bromsgrove School all joined together to complete a 5k run in support of Fisher House, a home away from home for military patients and their families who are receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

The pupils braved an early morning start on Sunday 18 October to run 5k around their school. They were cheered on by their teachers, Mrs Pugh, Mrs Linfield and even their school mascot Frank! Altogether they were able to raise a fantastic £455 for Fisher House!

Cathryn Worth, Fundraising Manager at UHB Charity said: ‘A huge thank you to all the pupils and their teachers for taking part in this incredible challenge for Fisher House! Thanks to you and your supporters, the money you raised will enable us to fund 18 nights of free accommodation for a family to stay in Fisher House in their time of need. Thank you so much for making this possible.’
