Patient raises £1,000 to thank QEHB

Current patient Margaret O’ Toole and her husband decided to raise funds to say thank you for the exceptional treatment that Margaret has received whilst being treated for cancer at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

On 13 March Margaret donated an astonishing £1,000 to QEHB Charity! All monies will go towards cancer research as this appeal is close to her heart.

Approximately every two minutes, someone is diagnosed with cancer. However, with your support and donations QEHB Charity have been able to make a substantial difference to the large number of patients that are treated for cancer each and every day at QEHB.

Donations such as Margaret’s have enabled the charity to purchase specialised equipment such as the world’s most advanced radiotherapy machines, to funding for cancer research staff.

Sophie Carroll, Senior Fundraiser for QEHB Charity said: “All donations, no matter how big all small will make a significant impact on the lives of those who are diagnosed with cancer. On behalf of the Charity I would like to say a huge thank you to Margaret and her family for raising an amazing £1,000.”
