School pupil sells old toys to raise funds

Kayleigh Patrick is a year six pupil at Moat Hall Primary School and has been recognised by the school in a special assembly this week for her excellent fundraising efforts.

Inspired by a school lesson where she learnt about different charities, Kayleigh decided it would be a great idea to sell some of her old toys in order to raise money for Good Hope Hospital Charity. Kayleigh managed to raise a fantastic £100 which will go to support patients and staff at the hospital.

The young fundraiser was called up in front of the whole school to be congratulated for her fundraising, and her proud mum and nan were there to watch.

Good Hope Hospital Charity Fundraising Manager Laura Power said: "Huge thanks go to Kayleigh for her amazing fundraising efforts. Selling old toys for donations is a fantastic idea and it's inspiring to see someone come up with such a great idea to raise money for her local hospital. The money she has raised will help the Charity to support patients and staff at the hospital, making a difference to many people's lives. Thank you Kayleigh!"
