Stoford help us bring the festive spirit!

Stoford, one of the UK’s leading property developers, has made a generous donation of £1,500 to UHB Charity's Christmas Appeal.

University Hospitals Birmingham Charity’s Christmas appeal raises funds to bring some festive joy to Solihull Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands and Good Hope hospitals each year, helping to make life easier for patients and staff over the Christmas period.

Stoford’s generous donation has funded a special toy tree. The tree is decorated with soft toys, allowing children who are receiving treatment in the hospital to select a toy to take home with them when they leave.

Joint Managing Directors, Daniel Gallagher and Matthew Burgin said: “We are delighted to be able bring some Christmas magic to the children in hospital after a very challenging year. Being in hospital over Christmas is never easy, and this year is going to be particularly hard, so it’s been great to know our donation has put a smile on all the children’s faces and spread some Christmas cheer.

"2020 has been a very difficult year for many of us, but we are happy to continue to support and stand with our community wherever we can. This is a brilliant cause, and we’re delighted to take part and make a difference this year.”

Charlotte Schofield, Director of Fundraising at UHB Charity said: “The toy tree has made a huge difference to our youngest patients this year. Visiting hospital can be scary for children, and no child wants to spend time in hospital at Christmas. Our toy tree has made a huge difference, and our young patients are so excited when they see the tree and are told that they get to take a toy home with them at the end of their appointment.

“Thank you to Stoford for your generous sponsorship, your generosity has made such a difference this year.”
