Group for people who have had strokes to help them to regain use of their upper limbs, activities such as drawing, painting, hand-washing, throwing and catching which not only promote function in their arms and legs but are also enjoyable for those who go along, and offer an opportunity to socialise.

Rebecca Perks, Occupational Therapist said: “It is really important that the people who come to our group enjoy the sessions, and that they are useful to them. The Charity has provided us with arts and craft materials which mean we can make seasonal cards and decorations for the wards, which gives our patients a huge amount of satisfaction when they see them being used.”

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising said: “The Charity works to provide ‘added extras’ over and above that which the NHS can fund, I am proud to be able to offer grants to departments throughout the hospital to improve patient’s experience, and recovery following stroke.
