Ward 19 patient Frances to hold festive fundraiser!

Frances Bould is a patient on Ward 19, the specialist cancer ward at Heartlands Hospital, and the care that she has received has inspired her to hold a special fundraising event.

The 2019 Christmas Blast is taking place on Friday 6 December at the Oscott Social Club, 239 Witton Lodge Road, B23 5LS from 7pm until late.

This event promises a whole host of festive fun and offers the chance to get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy a range of entertainment, including a DJ and a special performance from the Birmingham Blues Brothers!

Tickets will be sold on the door and are £10, £5 for under 12s and under 5s go free. There will be hot and cold food served on the evening.

Frances has worked as a lunchtime supervisor at Bordesley Green Girls School for the past 44 years, and her pupils have lent a hand with her fundraising.

Frances said: “It’s going to be a fantastic evening, everyone is welcome to come along and I’m sure that we’re going to raise a brilliant total to help the team on Ward 19 who have looked after me so well.”
