Scafell Pike Sunrise Challenge

Climb Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, at sunrise for an unforgettable experience!

Walk under a blanket of stars and reach the summit of Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, for sunrise. You’ll ascend to the summit with a group of fellow sunrise chasers and a Large Outdoors guide who’ll keep everybody moving safely, comfortably, and make sure everybody is having a fantastic time.

With views that look west over the Irish Sea, where the Isle of Man, Morecambe Bay and of course the whole of the Lake District is visible on a clear day, it’s an unforgettable experience.

After the rest on the summit, and plenty of time for photographs, we begin the return journey, this time in the light, where you’ll look out at all the incredible Lake District scenery laid out before you.

In a nutshell:

Take on the highest peak in the England over night.

Stunning views across the Highlands from start to finish.

Lots of laughs and camaraderie with a group of fellow walkers.

A qualified Mountain Leader navigating and ensuring everybody is walking safely, comfortably, and having a great time.

Please note this walk meets at 00:45 - the early hours of the Wednesday (21 June 2023) morning. You’ll be taking in the sunrise on the summer solstice!

Entry fee £55.

Minimum sponsorship £199 which can go to the ward or department of your choice.

No transport to Scafell Pike is included in this fee.
