Course outline:


This is an exciting course offering trainees the option of supplementing their operative training in Septorhinoplasty surgery in the West Midlands ENT Dry Lab using artificial models produced by Phacon.


Course content:


Candidates will spend time learning techniques involved in:
• Hemitransfixion Incision and raising mucopericondrial flaps
• Septoplasty
• Rhinoplasty (Rasping, external or internal osteotomies, de-hump, dorsal graft)


Faculty:
All courses are run by expert Consultant Rhinologist (Course organiser +/- visiting faculty), to enable ongoing individually tailored training and feedback throughout the courses.
Phacon Model:
Please note, to attend this course, you will also need to purchase the related Phacon model casette, which will be provided on the day you attend, and then belong to you.  For trainees who have already purchased a cassette, but not exhausted the use thereof, the cassettes can continue to be used at subsequent courses without further purchase of cassettes.  Once a cassette has been ‘used up’, a new cassette will need to be purchased.  Please see the related purchasing option on the Charities Shop website.

• West Midlands trainees: £50

• Non West Midlands trainees: £75


Please note:


This course should be the first stop for all trainees new to/inexperienced in Septorhinoplasty  surgery.
