Septorhinoplasty – Open Approach

Septorhinoplasty (Open approach) Dry Lab courses (Phacon model)

Course outline:

This is an exciting course offering trainees the option of supplementing their operative training in Septorhinoplasty surgery in the West Midlands ENT Dry Lab using artificial models produced by Phacon.

Course content:

Candidates will spend time learning techniques involved in:
• Incision and soft tissue dissection
• Septoplasty/septal reconstruction
• Rhinoplasty (Including Osteotomies, spreader graft and tip refinement.)

Faculty:
All courses are run by an expert Consultant Rhinologist (Course organiser +/- visiting faculty), to enable ongoing individually tailored training and feedback throughout the course.

Phacon Model:

Please note, to attend this course, you will also need to purchase the related Phacon dry bone cassette for septorhinoplasty/rhinology  (see separate booking link) casette, which will be provided on the day you attend, and then belong to you.  For trainees who have already purchased a cassette, but not exhausted the use thereof, the cassettes can continue to be used at subsequent courses without further purchase of cassettes.  Once a cassette has been ‘used up’, a new cassette will need to be purchased.  Please see the related purchasing option on the Charities Shop website.

Course fee:

• WM Trainee: £50
• Non WM Trainee: £75

Please note:
This course is aimed at the more experienced trainees. We recommend this course to solidify Septorhinoplasty skills with repeated practice thereof, which will extend their understanding of anatomy required for FRCS examination and clinical practice.
