Veterans' Foundation

We’d like to say a big thank you to the Veterans’ Foundation for their generous donation of £10,000 to Fisher House, our military home from home. The Foundation has supported Fisher House for a number of years and has donated an incredible £70,000 in total!

The Veterans’ Foundation supports serving and former members of the armed forces and their dependants, who are in need. The Foundation works with other charities and organisations and helps tackle the challenges of mental and physical injuries, homelessness, unemployment, children’s loss of parents while serving, and remembrance.

Major General David Shaw, founder of the Veterans’ Foundation, said, “We are extremely passionate about supporting Fisher House. Having somewhere to stay within walking distance of the hospital is such a lifeline to families and takes away the stress of finding accommodation nearby. Fisher House offers a safe haven for military patients, away from the hospital where they can recharge and spend time with their family.”

Thanks to the generous support of the Veterans’ Foundation we are able to continue supporting our military patients and their families through an extremely difficult time.
