Christmas

UHB Charity supports patients, families and staff throughout the year at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital, but we are particularly conscious of the need to give that extra support and comfort at Christmas.

In order to help provide Christmas treats for patients and staff to share on Christmas Day, to purchase a toy for poorly children undergoing treatment and to provide the decorations that cheer up our hospitals over the festive period, we try and provide a number of ways you can help us help them.

CHRISTMAS APPEAL: If you would like to donate to our Christmas Appeal, head to our Justgiving page.

CHRISTMAS LOTTERY BUMPER DRAW: This has now been drawn.

FESTIVE JUMPER DAY: We will be celebrating Festive Jumper Day on Friday 8 December. If you would like to host a Festive Jumper Day at school or at work - let us know and we'll provide a donation goblet and a fundraising pack. Email us on charities@uhb.nhs.uk or call us on: 0121 371 4852.

CHRISTMAS CARDS: We have some new Christmas Card designs for you to send to your friends and loved ones while raising money for your hospital charity. Click here to have a look: hospitalcharity.org/shop/product/cards

LIGHT UP A LIFE: Christmas can be a time when we remember the loved ones we have lost. UHB Charity have created a dedication page where you and your family and friends can leave a lasting tribute to celebrate their lives: uhb.dedicationpage.org/lightupalife

CHRISTMAS CHOIRS: We love spreading fesitve cheer at our four hospitals so why not come along for a chance to here schools and community groups lifting everyones spirits. Click here for all the dates and times: hospitalcharity.org/christmaschoirstimetable

VIRTUAL GIFTS: Fancy buying an extra special gift for someone this year? Why not purchase a Virtual Gift that helps those less fortunate this Christmas. You can fund a stay in one of our Homes away from Home to keep families together this Christmas. You could buy a Prematurity Pack for parents who's little ones were born early and will be in hospital over Christmas or you could buy a toy for a poorly child who won't be able to celebrate the big day with their family this year. If you would like to buy one of these special gifts for a loved one this Christmas - Click here: hospitalcharity.org/shop/product/virtualchristmasgifts23

Thank you to everyone for your support of our patients, families and staff. May we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
