Christmas cards designed by young patients at UHB now on sale!

The Chaplaincy at University Hospitals Birmingham, in partnership with UHB Charity, launched a children’s Christmas card competition for the first time this year! Children in hospital across the Trust in November were given the opportunity to enter their best festive design to be in with the chance to see their creation come to life on their very own Christmas card!

Now, the cards are on sale from UHB Charity’s online Christmas shop, with all proceeds going to the Charity’s Christmas appeal, helping to bring some festive spirit to the hospitals this year. Huge congratulations go to the two winners who designed the cards. One of the winners, Kate, was delighted to have won and is pictured here with her winning design and her dog, Bea. Our other winner wished to remain anonymous.

The competition was kindly sponsored by Judd Medical, a medical equipment supplier based in Bromsgrove in support of UHB Charity’s Christmas appeal.

Peter, CEO of Judd Medical, said: “‘We are delighted to be able to support the UHB Charity this Christmas through sponsorship of a Christmas Card competition for the hospitals’ young patients.  I can’t imagine what a strange time this has been for children who found themselves in hospital over the last few months and we hope they have enjoyed taking part in the competition.  The winning designs are fantastic and have certainly put everyone here at Judd Medical in the Christmas mood.”

Cathryn Worth, Fundraising Manager at UHB Charity, said: “A huge thank you to Judd Medical for kindly sponsoring the competition and congratulations to our two incredible winners! We love your designs and can tell you are artists in the making! Thank you for allowing us to use your designs and I’m sure they’re going to be best sellers!”
