100 mile walk for Breast Cancer patients!

This incredible fundraising team have raised a staggering £6,028 (inc Giftaid) to support breast cancer patients and help them receive the best possible care.

They walked 100 miles over six days along canals in the West Midlands, in very wet conditions!

They were joined by family and friends along the way and received tremendous support.

When asked why they chose to fundraise, they said, ‘It goes without saying that the NHS is marvellous! So it’s only fitting we do something slightly difficult to show our appreciation for all the hard work and dedication they give us. We have exceeded our fundraising goal more than we could have imagined. We are so excited that we have been able to raise so much to support our local hospitals and none of this would have been possible without our supporters.’

Sophie Westlake, Senior Fundraising and Communications Officer, said, ‘It’s been incredible to hear from Chris and Jennie about their fundraising challenge, I was blown away by their determination and passion. On behalf of UHB Charity, we are so grateful to Chris, Jennie and all their supporters for enabling us to continue to go over and above for breast cancer patients during their hospital journey.’
