5 reasons YOU should become a community fundraiser

QEHB Charity is launching a new community fundraising group in Birmingham and wants YOU to get involved.

The new and exciting QEHB Charity Community Fundraising Group Birmingham will meet monthly to provide you the opportunity to discuss and organise your own events that will be held in support of the charity. These could range from a pub quiz to a bag pack, a cake sale to a glitzy ball. All funds raised can be donated to an appeal of your choice; it’s completely up to you!

The first group meeting will take place at Yorks Bakery Café, Birmingham City Centre on Wednesday 26th November at 6.30pm, and will be led by QEHB Charity’s Fundraising Officer Abi Cligg and Fundraising Assistant Tasha Bray.

5 reasons to get involved

1. Becoming a member is a great way to get some fundraising experience, as well as experience in organising your own event.

2. You’ll meet new and like-minded people who could become great friends.

3. You’ll help make a real difference to the lives of patients, their families and the wonderful staff who care for them.

4. You’ll receive a boost to your personal growth and self-esteem.

5. You could help strengthen the community of Birmingham by encouraging residents from across the region to get involved in your events.

Fundraising Officer Abi Cligg said: “We’re really excited to be setting up a new community fundraising group in Birmingham.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a career in fundraising to get some experience whilst benefiting patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
