A huge thank you to Tamworth Community Centre CIC

Thank you to Tamworth Community Centre CIC for raising a fantastic £160 for Good Hope Hospital Charity’s Elderly and Dementia Appeal by holding a coffee day on Friday 19 May.

The day, which was organised as part of Dementia Awareness Week, consisted of a number of activities on the day such as a ‘guess the amount of sweets in the jar’ game, a bake sale, a tombola and encouraging people to create a memory tree.

The frequent fundraisers presented the cheque to the ward at Good Hope Hospital on 31 May along with some twiddle muffs knitted by some talented members of the community centre.

The monies will be go towards some dementia trolleys for the wards with elderly patients and those with dementia to provide stimulating activities such as hair brushing, nail painting and conversation cards.

Laura Power, Fundraising Manager at Good Hope Hospital said: “Thank you to everyone from the Tamworth Community Centre CIC for your generous donation, Good Hope Hospital is very proud of its services to elderly and dementia patients and with support from people and groups such as this we can continue to provide those added extras.”
