A yummy Easter treat for poorly patients at Solihull Hospital

Special Easter deliveries were made across the elderly care wards at Solihull Hospital last week, with delicious hot cross buns for patients and staff being handed out thanks to Sunrise Senior Living in Solihull.

The team from Sunrise, providers of residential care and assisted living came to the hospital to deliver the Easter treats to older patients. Jo Hopkins, Director of Community Relations and her team joined Fundraising Manager for Solihull Hospital Charity, Rachel Learmonth to hand out the sweet treats. The delicious hot cross buns went down well with patients and staff alike, bringing smiles to many of the hospital's older patients.

Rachel Learmonth said: "A huge thanks go to the team from Sunrise Senior Living for their kind donations to patients and staff across the elderly care wards this Easter. It is so nice to be able to offer our patients a gift, and it was lovely to see the smiles that they generated."
For those who were not able to have a hot cross bun, Sunrise provided them with personalised Easter Cards that were written and handmade by the young children at Mad Hatters Nursery School.

Jo Hopkins said: "It was a pleasure to come to Solihull Hospital to help spread some Easter joy around the elderly care wards. It's always lovely to meet patients and brighten up their days with a hot cross bun and a lovely little card!"
