Band of the West Midlands Fire Service to fundraise for Fisher House

On Saturday 3 October, the bright sparks of The Band of the West Midlands Fire Service will be performing a sizzling setlist of songs from across a range of genres in their concert show; Brass, Wind & Fire! Proceeds from the event are set to benefit injured soldiers and their families by being donated to Fisher House, the QEHB Charity’s ‘home away from home’ for military patients and their relatives.

The concert, which takes place annually, will be at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall at 7pm on Saturday 3 October. This year the band will be joined by special guests Sutton Coldfield Chamber Choir, and the programme is packed with an eclectic mix of musical masterpieces ranging from the Best of the Beatles, to a tributary trombone solo, to classical favourites. Flaming brilliant!

Michael Tivey, Fundraising Officer at QEHB Charity, said: “Brass, Wind & Fire! looks set to be an amazing night with a great variety of music. We are really pleased that the Band of the West Midlands Fire Service is supporting such a worthy cause.

“Fisher House is invaluable to the QE’s military patients and their families. It provides a safe haven away from the wards, something which is incredibly helpful during such a stressful time.”

Tickets are £12, or £10 for under-16s and senior citizens. To book your tickets or for more information, please email tickets@bwmfs.org; telephone on 07591 089 104; or go online at bwmfs.ticketsource.co.uk
