Birmingham mosque supports patients at QEHB

Birmingham mosque and education centre, Qadria Trust, has kindly donated £365 to support renal patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB).

The Trust received generous donations during its Eid celebrations and decided to donate the money to QEHB Charity. Cllr Mohammed Azim, Munhir Hussain, and Chairman Pir Mohammad Tayyab Ur Rehman visited QEHB on 13 July to present a cheque to QEHB Charity Chief Executive Mike Hammond.

Chairman Pir Mohammad Tayyab Ur Rehman said: “We are pleased to be able to support QEHB Charity. Many of our members have undergone treatment at QEHB and have benefited from the excellent facilities here as well as the ‘added extras’ that QEHB Charity provides for patients. My mother is currently being treated on the renal ward at the hospital, so this is a cause very close to my heart.”

Mike Hammond, QEHB Charity Chief Executive, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Qadria Trust for supporting patients at QEHB. We rely entirely on generous donations like these to be able to go over and above for patients and their families, so on behalf of the Charity I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved.”
