Brave team tackles military challenge for patients

A brave team from construction company, Wilmott Dixon, braved the mud in support of military patients and their families, by competing in Born Survivor, a gruelling obstacle course designed by Royal Marines.

The event challenged even the most experienced gym-goers and fitness fanatics, spanning ten kilometres with plenty of tough and muddy obstacles included. You only need to look at the before and after photos below to see for yourself!

The generous team took part in the event to raise money for Fisher House, a ‘home away from home’ for military patients and their families.  Since its opening in 2013, Fisher House has provided free accommodation for more than 10,000 families.

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising at QEHB Charity, which fundraises for the running costs for Fisher House, said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you and well done to the fantastic team at Wilmott Dixon. It was a great day and their enthusiasm was wonderful! We hope they enjoyed the event as much as we enjoyed cheering them on, well done team!”
