Bullring & Grand Central announce charity partnership with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity

Bullring & Grand Central have announced that their new charity partner is Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity.

The centre will work exclusively with the Charity over the next year to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust Young Persons Unit to provide support and care for teenage cancer patients via in-centre activity and fundraising.

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity supports patients, families and staff by providing added extras that go over and above what the NHS can fund. Through previous fundraising the hospital has been able to purchase world-class cutting-edge equipment such as a CyberKnife machine for cancer treatment whilst also being able to provide accommodation for military patients and their families.

As part of the partnership, the Charity has also been awarded a £5,000 bursary, which will help fund dedicated teaching posts in the Teenage Cancer Trust Young Persons Unit at the hospital so that patients receiving treatment are able to continue with their studies.

Stephanie Lacey, General Manager at Bullring & Grand Central, commented: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity this year. I’m sure that our customers will be delighted to support this local charity in the many fundraising opportunities we have planned across the next 12 months.”

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising for QEHB Charity, said: “The Charity is so excited for this incredible partnership with Bullring & Grand Central. We can’t wait to work with the team on so many of our amazing events and see them take part in some fundraising challenges too!

“The hospital charity works so hard to fund added extras for patients, staff and families that go over and above what the NHS can provide and through this partnership we will be able to continue to do so.”
