Christmas Carol Concert gets all into the festive spirit!

QEHB Charity’s Christmas Carol Concert was a huge success, taking place on Thursday 17th December at St Philip’s Cathedral. The concert was kindly supported by Lookers Vauxhall, Selly Oak.

The Band of the West Midlands Fire Service, St Edward’s Catholic Primary School choir and St Peter’s Church of England Primary School choir were the special guests at an evening of carols galore.

The Christmas Carol Concert raised money in support of three worthy QEHB Charity funds: the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Faith Centre; the Dignity in Care Fund, which supports elderly patients; and Fisher House, QEHB Charity’s ‘home away from home’ for military patients and their families.

The concert raised an incredible £1,500.

Michael Tivey, Fundraising Officer at QEHB Charity, said: “Our Christmas Carol Concert for 2015 was bigger and better than ever! With a huge range of carols, it was a hugely enjoyable evening for all. I also want to thank Lookers Vauxhall, Selly Oak, for their generous support.”

Dee Allen, brand marketing manager at Lookers Vauxhall Birmingham, said: “Lookers Vauxhall is proud to support the local communities close to our sites at Star City, Selly Oak and Yardley. We have nothing but admiration for the great work done by all the team at QEHB charity and we were delighted to be able to sponsor the Christmas Carol Service this year.”
