Couple host garden party for Liver Department
David and Anne Walker hosted a garden party in the scorching sunshine to fundraise for the Liver Department at QEHB.
After five years of being unwell, David received a liver donor in March 2018 and is now on the road to recovery, so the couple decided that they wanted to fundraise for the department after David had spent so much time there over the years.
They invited friends and family to their garden party as well as patients and staff from the Liver Department that they met along the way.
The couple, who raised £220, have fundraised for the Charity before and Anne said: “We are very grateful for all the help and support from the Liver Department, and to the donor and their relatives. David is doing so much better now after being ill for so long.”
