Debbie takes to the skies to raise money for Solihull Hospital!

Good luck to Debbie Douglas who is plucking up the courage to take part in a Wing Walk. Debbie is raising money for the Solihull Haematology and Oncology Day Unit along with other volunteers at Breast Friends Solihull, a charity run completely by volunteers who provide practical help and emotional support to ladies and their families diagnosed with breast cancer.

Debbie said: “I’ll be flying on 2 August 2018 fundraising for Breast Friends Solihull who supported me when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003.  I’ve been involved with them ever since. We are fundraising to pay for two more chemotherapy beds in the new unit at Solihull Hospital at a cost of £5,000 each.

Samantha Howell, Fundraising Manager at Solihull Hospital said: “We are extremely grateful to Sue and Breast Friends Solihull for all the work that they do to support Solihull Hospital and we would like to wish Sue good luck for her Wing Walk in August!
