Donate to the Christmas Ribbon Tree and support cancer patients

Nurses at the Queen Elizabeth Birmingham Hospital Cancer Centre have launched a festive campaign to raise money for cancer patients.

Patients, staff, families and friends are being encouraged to make a donation to put a coloured ribbon on the ‘Christmas Ribbon Tree’.

The different coloured ribbon decorations, created by the nurses, represent the different types of cancers that can affect patients.

Jenny Lane, Senior Oncology Nurse, said: “This was the idea of the nurses in the unit, and I think it is a wonderful one!

“We hope to encourage as many people as possible to put a ribbon on the tree during this festive period. It will look wonderful when it’s covered in decorations, and the money raised will help support patients here at the Cancer Centre.”

Please visit the Cancer Centre to donate and put a coloured ribbon on the tree, or call 0121 371 4852 for more information.
