Families had ‘One Great Day’ at Gracechurch in Sutton Coldfield

'One Great Day' fundraises nationwide for children’s charities, and the Sutton Coldfield hosts chose Good Hope Hospital Charity to support this year alongside Great Ormond Street.

The charity event was originally initiated by parents whose son received care in Great Ormond Street and wanted to make a difference across the country with fundraising events.

Gracechurch Shopping Centre raised hundreds for Good Hope Hospital Charity which will go towards added extras for the children being treated at the hospital.

The event raised money through balloon modelling, face painting, canvass bag decorating and a guess the name of the bear.

Laura Power, Fundraising Manager at Good Hope Hospital, said: “It was amazing to see so many people come to Gracechurch Shopping Centre to support their local charity. On behalf of the Charity, I would like to thank everyone who donated some money, took part in our activities and guessed the name of the bear!

“The money raised means the Charity will be able to continue to provide ‘added extras’ for patients at the hospital.”
