Fundraising Friday
For this week’s Fundraising Friday we are celebrating one of our magical London Marathon runners- Stuart Hatton.
Stuart ran to raise funds for Heartlands Hospital Birmingham’s Renal Unit, and their satellite centre in Castle Vale following the care they provided for his father, Bryan Hatton.
Over a four year period Stuart’s father received life-extending dialysis three times a week at the Renal Unit.
“Although my dad passed away on 24 April 2012, I’m sure that without the fantastic treatment he received at Heartland’s we would have lost him sooner.”
Stuart completed the run in a speedy 4:31 and so far, he has raised a staggering £1000, smashing his £750 target!
