Help Harry Help Others Cancer Charity donates incredible £20,000 to support new chemotherapy day unit

Solihull Hospital Charity has received an amazing £20,000 towards its appeal to help fund the new cancer centre at Solihull Hospital thanks to the Help Harry Help Others Cancer Charity.

Georgina Moseley, mother of the inspirational Harry Moseley, made a trip to Solihull Hospital to present the cheque to Charity Fundraising Manager Samantha Howell. The money that has been donated will help to pay for four of the 31 new chemotherapy chairs that will be in the unit.

Solihull Hospital Charity is raising £150,000 to help fund the new chemotherapy day unit at Solihull Hospital that will form an extension of Ward 19, the dedicated cancer ward at Heartlands Hospital that currently treats 8,000 patients every year. The unit will include a garden and a family room and will provide a calming environment for low-risk patients with cancer.

Samantha Howell, Fundraising Manager at Solihull Hospital Charity said: “The Charity is incredibly grateful to Georgina and everyone at Help Harry Help Others (HHHO) for the incredibly generous donation towards the chemotherapy day unit. The unit will provide a fantastic service for cancer patients across the West Midlands, helping to take the strain off Ward 19 at Heartlands Hospital.

Georgina Moseley said: “I am delighted to have been able to support Solihull Hospital Charity’s Appeal to bring the new chemotherapy unit to the hospital. I would like to thank everyone who has donated to HHHO and have allowed us to change lives and to ensure cancer patients and their families get the best possible support where needed.”
