International Day of the Midwife

Friday 5 May marked International Day of the Midwife, where midwives all over the world were celebrated for the fantastic work they do.

This year, the hospital charity showed its appreciation by delivering boxes of chocolates to midwives who work across all three hospitals, at a conference at Heartlands Hospital Birmingham. Representatives from Solihull Hospital and Good Hope Hospital collected the delicious treats to share with their colleagues.

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising, said: “Most people have or will come into contact with a midwife at some point during their lives, and the care they provide at such a crucial time in somebody’s life is second to none. We are extremely proud of the midwives we have here at our hospitals, and feel fortunate to be able to give back to them.”

Thank you to all of our midwives for your continued hard work, and thank you to our brilliant donors for helping us to support them!
