International Nurses Day 2020

Today is International Nurses Day and we want to say a huge thank you to all our nurses. Now, more than ever, we’re proud of everything that you do.

We’ve compiled some messages of thanks for our nurses across the Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals.

At this really difficult time we’re helping our nurses by funding staff welfare hubs and wobble rooms that allow them to take some time away from the ward to relax. Thanks to your generosity we have been able to provide a wide range of support for our staff, from food and drinks to mindfulness sessions, but there’s still so much more that we want to do.

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising at University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, said: “This International Nurses Day is particularly poignant given the incredible work and sacrifice of our nursing staff in recent times. More than ever we are proud to support them in their work by providing added extras.

“Messages of support for our nurses are visible everywhere which is wonderful, and we’d encourage everyone to share their messages of support across social media today to let our nurses know just how appreciated they are.”

You can help us to do more by texting NHSSuperheroes 5 to 70085 to donate £5.
