Music festival rocks for Fisher House

Lee Judge, DCA Collections Specialist from npower, has been holding an annual music festival in West Bromwich for several years. Each year, the proceeds have been donated to a different cause, and the chosen charity of Judgestock Festival for 2015 was Fisher House, a ‘home away from home’ for military patients and their families.

The festival, held at Greets Green Sports Bar, saw the following acts take to the stage: Crazy Horses, Dead Sea Skulls, The Assist, Little Liam, Skulk, Kirikai, Dark Page, Tom Greenhalgh, Ties Unbroken, Troubador, Bloody Dust, Labour Of Love (Tribute to UB40), 6Appeal, Kerrong, DirtyRoxx, OMG Lilly Allen, Totally Gaga, She Will Rock You (Tribute to Queen), Box Car Blues, The Wazzocks, Pip Souster, Rich Sewell, and RKB.

Dave Watson, member of the armed forces, suffered terrible injuries while in conflict. While going through many operations to save him, the brave triple amputee’s family stayed in Fisher House. Dave went to Judgestock Festival in order to talk to the guests about his experiences, and to show just how much of an amazing difference Fisher House made to himself and his family.

The festival raised over a fabulous £1,700 during the weekend, and npower are kindly going to match this amount to make a grand total of £3,400 for Fisher House!

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising at QEHB Charity, said: “Judgestock Festival was such a great event. An incredible amount has been raised for Fisher House, the home away from home for military patients and their families. On behalf of QEHB Charity, I send my warmest thanks to Lee for organising such a great weekend, and npower for their generous donation!”
