News wholesaler branch raises hundreds for patients with cancer at the QE

The Marston Green office of Smiths News, the UK’s number one wholesaler in the larger newspaper and magazine market, has raised a fantastic £600 for QEHB Charity’s Cancer Appeal.

The branch has been supporting the charity for several years, with staff members taking part in fun runs and the Birmingham Half Marathon, as well as holding office raffles.

Michael Tivey, Fundraising Officer at QEHB Charity, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the team at the Marston Green office of Smiths News for the hard work they have put in over the past few years to help QEHB Charity go above and beyond for cancer patients and the staff that treat them at the QE. By bringing ground-breaking equipment such as the Cyberknife machine to the hospital, QEHB Charity makes a palpable difference to the experience of patients and staff, therefore every penny truly does count. On behalf of the charity, I want to thank the Marston Green office of Smiths News for their generosity and continued support of the charity.”
