Oxbridge Home Learning makes generous donation to Children’s Appeal

Oxbridge Home Learning, a distance-learning college based at the Innovation Hub in Birmingham, has raised £722 in support of Heartlands Hospital Charity’s Children’s appeal, which is aiming to renovate the children’s areas across the hospital.

The team at Oxbridge Home Learning have thrown themselves into fundraising for the local cause by holding an NHS Big 7Tea party to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS, raising £222. The company decided to donate an extra £500 to the cause, helping them to reach their fantastic fundraising total.

Matt Jones, Founder and Managing Director of Oxbridge Home Learning, said: “Everyone at Oxbridge Home Learning is delighted to have been able to raise money to support such an important local cause. It was a privilege to visit Heartlands Hospital to meet some of the amazing members of staff who dedicate their lives to looking after poorly children.

“We are all looking forward to seeing the Children’s Outpatients Department once it has been renovated, and we are all very proud to have played a part in raising money to enable this to happen.”

Sian Averill, Fundraising Manager at Heartlands Hospital Charity said: “Huge thanks go to Matt, Stacey, Katie and the rest of the team from Oxbridge for their kind support of the Children’s appeal here at Heartlands.

“With the help of amazing fundraisers like the Oxbridge team, the hospital charity is going to renovate the Children’s Outpatients Department, making it more child-friendly and welcoming for the 13,500 children who visit the department each year.
“From providing toys and activities for the children, to making the walls and floors brighter, the Charity is hoping to transform the department to create a place where children will feel welcome and safe.”
