Patients receive festive treats thanks to Sunrise Senior Living

Special deliveries were made across the elderly care wards at QEHB this week, with a delicious treat of a mince pie and handmade Christmas card written by children for patients and staff.

The team from Sunrise Senior Living, providers of residential care and assisted living, came to the hospital to deliver the festive snacks as well as cards to elderly patients and were helped out by the QEHB Charity team and activities coordinator Jo Bubb. The delicious mince pies as well as the heartfelt Christmas wishes went down well with patients and staff alike.

Jo Bubb, activities coordinator at QEHB said: "Huge thanks go to the team from Sunrise Senior Living for their kind donations of the mince pies to patients and staff across the elderly care wards this Christmas. It is so nice to be able to offer our patients a bit of Christmas cheer and make them smile, a special thank you also goes to the children who took the time to decorate the beautiful glittery cards, our patients loved them so much”

Ted Richardson, Director of Community Relations at Sunrise Senior Living said: "It was a pleasure to come to QEHB this week to help spread some Christmas joy to the elderly patients. It is lovely to meet so many brilliant staff members and thank them for all of their hard work that they have put in throughout the year.
