Reggae night raises money for stroke patients

Rebecca Coleing, owner of the events compant Theme My Dream has raised a fantastic £755 for Heartlands Hospital Charity to go towards the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit at the hospital.

Rebecca put on a 'Reggae and Romance' night at The Crown in Tyburn which saw reggae DJs and performers entertain guests long into the evening. The event included a raffle, with money from the tickets going to the hospital charity.

The inspiration for the evening came from Rebecca's dad, who was treated on the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit earlier this year. Heartlands Hospital Charity is raising money to fund a relatives' room on the unit, which will provide a private and comfortable area for families to rest whilst their relatives are treated.

Sian Averill, Fundraising Manager at Heartlands Hospital Charity said: "Huge thanks go from the Charity to Rebecca for hosting such a brilliant fundraising event.

"The money will help the Charity provide a relatives' room for the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit which will make the hospital experience much better for families, allowing them a private space in a non-clinical environment where they can relax and feel at home."
