Sutton Coldfield hotel team prepare to take on fun run
The Great Midlands Fun Run comes to the streets of Sutton Coldfield on 3 June, and a team of staff from the New Hall Hotel and Spa are busy preparing to take on the challenge to support patients at Good Hope Hospital.
New Hall Hotel has chosen Good Hope Hospital Charity as its charity partner for 2018, and the team at the hotel have really thrown themselves into the challenge of fundraising. 12 members of staff from the hotel will be running, walking or jogging their way around the 8.5 mile course through Sutton Park and the town centre.
Jonathan Squire, General Manager at New Hall Hotel said: “We are all really looking forward to taking on the Great Midlands Fun Run! It’s always a fantastic date in the Sutton Coldfield calendar, and it’s great to be taking part for such an important local cause.”
‘Team New Hall’ have already raised over £700 and hope to raise even more before the big day. Good Hope Hospital Charity Fundraising Manager Laura Power said: “I am delighted that so many of the team from New Hall Hotel are taking on the fun run, raising awareness of the Charity and raising money to support patients at Good Hope Hospital. The Charity raises money to provide ‘added extras’ that are over and above that which the NHS is able to fund.
"On behalf of the Charity I would like to wish everyone taking on the fun run for the hospital the very best of luck. I shall be there on the day running alongside you!”
