Thousands attend Community Fun Day

Thousands flocked to Edgbaston Cricket Club on Sunday, 29 May, in order to enjoy a multitude of sights and activities at QEHB Charity’s third annual Community Fun Day.

With a craft fair, military obstacle course, horse and donkey riding, Red Devils parachute display, T20 cricket match and much more, there was lots for everyone to enjoy.

The event was in aid of Fisher House, the ‘home away from home for military patients and their families’, and ex-Fisher House residents Dave Watson, Stuart Gemmell and Karl Hinett were present to receive the ball for the cricket match from the Red Devils, who parachuted in to the cricket ground with spectacular style!

Mike Hammond, Chief Executive at QEHB Charity, said: “We were delighted that so many people attended our latest Community Fun Day. While the grand total raised from the event is still being totted up, we were astounded by the generosity of all those in attendance. On behalf of the Charity, I want to thank the Warwickshire Legends for hosting us, as well as all others that took part in making the event so special and enjoyable for all.”
