Tulips for Teresa

On Wednesday 25 April, representatives of Teresa Speed's family and friends visited the Radiotherapy Department at QEHB to see what a difference the refurbishment that they supported has made to patients.

The family donated £6,000 in Teresa's memory to the Wooden Spoon Society, a Charitable Trust, who then made the grant to the hospital to build a new quiet area for patients on the ward, known as the Tulip Room.

The family said: "We were delighted to be invited to see the Tulip Room. We know Teresa would have been pleased to have able to help fund such a lovely quiet, peaceful room for families to be able to spend time together away from the busy hospital environment."
