Volunteers receive a delicious thank you!

In celebration of Volunteers Week (1-7 June) we said a huge thank you to many of our dedicated charity volunteers, and what better way to say thank you than with cake?

Our Volunteer Afternoon Tea events are an opportunity for the Charity to show its appreciation for all the fantastic work the volunteers do.

Many of the team came to show their thanks to the volunteers, including Fundraising Managers Laura Power and Cathryn Worth, Fundraising Officer Sophie Carroll and Head of Fundraising, Justine Davy.
The charity’s Chair of Trustees, Brian Hanson and Trustee Peter Mayer also came along to enjoy in some cake and say their thanks to volunteer team.

Justine said: “Every one of our volunteers is special and we wanted to recognise this by awarding certificates of recognition to each of them, along with some chocolate and a Love QEHB pin.

“From working on our atrium stands to folding t-shirts, the volunteers’ support is invaluable.

“Everybody at the charity had a great time catching up with the volunteers and spending some quality time with them.”

Sophie Carroll, Fundraising Officer said: “Thank you to Cake Lab and Fallen Angel Bakery Harborne for donating some yummy cupcakes and macarons.”

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a QEHB Charity volunteer, or if you’d like more information, please email charities@uhb.nhs.uk or call 0121 371 4852.
