Asda Small Heath raises money for children at Good Hope

Good Hope Hospital Charity's Children’s Appeal was nominated for one of Asda Small Heath’s three green token scheme, and the Charity had the most amount of tokens and won £500!

The scheme runs quarterly in the store and has three boxes representing three different charities and the one with the most votes wins £500.

The £500 that Asda Small Heath has donated to the Children’s Appeal at Good Hope Hospital Charity will go towards providing toys and sensory equipment for the children who visit the hospital.

For a lot of children, visiting hospital can be a scary and stressful experience which affects their parents and also the staff who treat them. By having toys and sensory equipment for the children, they can play whilst they wait for their appointments and feel a little bit more relaxed whilst in the hospital.

Laura Power, Fundraising Manager at Good Hope Hospital Charity, said: “A huge thank you goes to Asda in Small Heath who chose the Charity as one of their three green token scheme, and their customers who have been voting for us over the last three months. The £500 donated will go towards ‘added extras’ for the children who go in and out of the hospital every single day.”
