Couple play ‘guess the name of the baby’ to raise money for Children’s A&E

Sunny and Kiran Daley decided that during their pregnancy with their baby Avani that they wanted to fundraise for Children’s A&E at Good Hope Hospital.

The couple wanted to do something fun and support their local charity at the same time. They got their family and friends together to guess the gender, name, weight and the date of birth of their baby and asked for donations in return of each guess – and received some very unusual name guesses!

They chose Children’s A&E at the hospital to support the hard working staff. Their kind donation of £150 will enable the department to purchase more activities and toys to keep the children occupied and distracted during their visits to the department.

Laura Power, Fundraising Manager for Good Hope Hospital Charity, said: “On behalf of the Charity I would like to say a huge thank you to Sunny and Kivan, and their friends and family that helped them raise the money for Children’s A&E.

“The money will go towards buying new toys and activities for the department as some children find it stressful and something to keep them occupied will make them feel more at ease and make the visits more comfortable for them.”
